Energy Vault and Crusoe Partner to Transform AI Infrastructure Deployment

Feb 11, 2026 (PRISM News via COMTEX) --

Energy Vault Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: NRGV), a leader in grid-scale energy storage, and Crusoe, the first vertically integrated AI infrastructure provider, have joined forces under a strategic framework agreement. Starting in 2026, the partnership will deploy Crusoe Spark modular AI factory units at Energy Vault's Snyder, Texas technology center. This collaboration combines Energy Vault's energy infrastructure expertise with Crusoe's modular AI technology to reshape the AI infrastructure market.

Faster Deployment with Modular AI Solutions

The agreement enables phased deployment of Crusoe Spark units, scaling up to 25 megawatts (MW) of total load. The first deployment will occur at Energy Vault's Snyder site, which integrates solar generation and energy storage. This initiative accelerates time-to-capacity for Crusoe Cloud customers, meeting the rising demand for computing power.

By merging Energy Vault's modular "powered shell" infrastructure with Crusoe's Spark AI factories, the partnership tackles challenges like power availability, interconnection delays, and high-density compute requirements. This approach shortens delivery timelines while ensuring reliable operations for data center customers.

Energy Vault Expands into AI Infrastructure

This partnership marks Energy Vault's entry into the fast-growing AI infrastructure market. Traditionally focused on energy storage, the company is now expanding its "Own & Operate" model to include long-term, contracted "powered shell" deployments. This shift is expected to generate revenue-per-MW up to 20 times higher than traditional battery energy storage projects, driving significant EBITDA growth.

Robert Piconi, CEO and Chairman of Energy Vault, emphasized the importance of speed and reliability. "Crusoe is meeting a clear market need: scalable compute delivered quickly and reliably. Our role is to provide the critical energy infrastructure - the 'powered shell' - that enables rapid installation and stable operations. This agreement is a major milestone as we expand into AI infrastructure and scale our build-own-operate strategy."

Shared Vision for Energy-First AI Infrastructure

Crusoe designs and manufactures its proprietary Spark units to deliver consistent, high-quality AI infrastructure. Partnering with Energy Vault allows Crusoe to advance its energy-first AI vision. Together, they will deploy modular AI factories for applications like low-latency inference, on-premise deployments, and grouped training clusters.

Cully Cavness, Co-Founder and President of Crusoe, highlighted the collaboration's potential. "By manufacturing Spark units and working with Energy Vault, we're advancing Crusoe's vision of energy-first AI infrastructure. This project shows the potential of modular AI factories for diverse applications, from low-latency inference to data-sovereignty deployments."

Redefining AI Infrastructure Economics

The partnership strengthens Energy Vault's Asset Vault platform, now expanded to serve the AI infrastructure market. By standardizing modular designs, the companies aim to deliver scalable, reliable, and fast-deploying compute capacity. This approach promises significantly higher EBITDA per MW compared to traditional projects.

As the AI infrastructure market grows, Energy Vault and Crusoe are positioned to lead. Their combined expertise in energy storage and AI infrastructure will meet the demand for scalable, energy-efficient computing solutions.
